Market Notice 24/2025: Equiduct ITCHMD Specification Update

11-03-2025 17:51

Equiduct would like to clarify that the ITCHMD changes deployed on 24th February 2025 (see Market Notice 143/2024) included a change to send opening and closing procedure trades using the Trade (Extended) message (message type “v”). Feed consumers should inspect the MMT Level 1 “Market Mechanism” flag to determine whether a given message is reporting an on-book or off-book trade, and in the case of on-book trades these trades should be treated as “last sale” eligible.

Changes have been made to the ITCHMD Specification to clarify the behaviour, including removing reference to the (unused) “O” and “C” flags in the Trade message and an updated description of the Trade (Extended) message.
