Artur Fisher
Interim CEO
Artur was appointed as Börse Berlin´s CEO in April 2007. He has been responsible for identifying Equiduct, the developer of an innovative trading system, and was the mastermind behind Börse Berlin´s majority investment in this London based start-up. As Executive Director of Easdaq and CEO of Equiduct Artur created a Europe-wide distribution system for the new trading platform. In July 2009 Artur convinced Citadel Securities to become a strategic partner and majority stake holder in Equiduct in order to further expand market activities. He continues to actively oversee the project as member of the Easdaq board. As Börse Berlin´s joint CEO he is also in charge of all issues regarding the Equiduct trading platform, which is operated by Börse Berlin.
Prior to joining Börse Berlin, Artur held leading positions with several European top tier banks. From 1986 until 1991, he was a Director at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange where he was a.o. responsible for the conceptual and technical realisation of one of Europe´s best known stock indices, the DAX (Deutscher Aktienidex). His marketing and sales strategies resulted in the universal acceptance of the DAX as Germany´s most prominent stock market indicator. After three years as a board member of an English subsidiary of Hypo Bank, Artur joined Bankgesellschaft Berlin. There he became Corporate Division Manager and COO of the London branch. Since 2000 Artur has worked as a management consultant and has successfully advised numerous national and international clients in the stock exchange and capital markets sectors.
Ian Werner
General Counsel
Ian Werner joined Equiduct in May 2010 bringing with him more than 10 years of experience in the equities trading infrastructure environment. He was most recently the Head of Legal Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs and a Board member of Turquoise. Ian was responsible for the delivery of the regulatory approval for the operation of the Turquoise MTF and was subsequently Counsel on the sale of the business to the London Stock Exchange. Prior to this Ian spent time at the FSA as a Consultant, the London Stock Exchange as the Manager of the Compliance and Investigations function and at CREST/Euroclear where he was the Compliance Manager.
Gilles Monat
Head of Sales
Gilles has worked in the European financial industry for over 14 years. Before working for Equiduct, Gilles was the Managing Director of GL Trade Belgium & Luxembourg. A.o. Gilles was responsible for launching the MiFID project for the buy- and sell side community in this region. Previous to this role, Gilles was working at GL Trade Paris as Sales Director in charge of the development of the Front office business in France, Switzerland and Monaco. Prior to these management roles, he was working as a sales executive and as an technical account manager in charge of the french largest banks' trading architectures. Previous to GL Trade, Gilles was a Financial Controller for Euronext, where he was in charge of the financial follow up for some of Euronext´s trading and data feed business subsidiaries.
At Equiduct, Gilles is tasked with introducing a new and truly MiFID compliant trading platform to the French speaking financial community.
Anthony Ball
CFO
Anthony joined Equiduct as Chief Financial Officer in February 2011, bringing with him 12 years of experience working in Financial Services in the City. Before joining Equiduct, he held the Chief Financial Officer role at Turquoise Trading - an MTF backed by a consortium of top tier Investment Banks. Anthony played a key role in the sale of Turquoise Trading to the London Stock Exchange.
Anthony qualified as an accountant with Kleinwort Benson in 2000, where he developed experience in Cash Equities, Derivatives, Equity Capital Markets and Corporate Finance. He subsequently spent time working for ABN Amro and City Index. Prior to his career in the City, Anthony spent time as a British Army Officer.
